Southlake Health’s commitment to people, culture, and exceptional care was recognized nationally and internationally over the past year through several prestigious honours.
In 2025, Southlake was named one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone Human Capital, recognizing organizations that foster high-performing, people-focused workplace cultures. Southlake was also recognized as one of the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers for 2026, highlighting its ongoing investment in employee wellness, engagement, leadership development, and career growth.
Together, these recognitions reflect Southlake’s commitment to creating an environment where staff, medical staff, volunteers, and learners feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. From enhanced wellness initiatives and leadership development opportunities to recognition programs and strengthened communication tools, Southlake continues to invest in the people who deliver care every day.
This focus on people is central to Southlake’s Strategy for the Decade Ahead, which recognizes its teams as a key driver in transforming the organization into a Distributed Health Network that brings leading edge care closer to home.
Southlake’s excellence in care was also recognized globally. For the eighth consecutive year, Southlake was named one of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals and was ranked among the top three community hospitals in Ontario for the fifth year in a row. The recognition reflects Southlake’s continued leadership in delivering advanced, high-quality care close to home for the communities it serves.
With more than 6,000 staff, medical staff, volunteers, and learners, Southlake continues to build a culture grounded in teamwork, compassion, innovation, and pride for people, place, and performance.
