Redefining the Hospital Food Experience

In 2025, Southlake Health completed a two-year transformation of its food services to enhance care and improve the experience for patients, visitors, staff, and medical staff. In partnership with Compass Group Canada, Southlake introduced freshly prepared meals designed to provide both nutrition and comfort while meeting the diverse care needs of patients.
Retail dining spaces across the hospital were also refreshed and expanded, creating modern, welcoming environments with a wide variety of food options. New offerings, including a full-service Starbucks and the chef-inspired cuisine at Market Aquene Café, have helped reshape perceptions of hospital dining and elevate the overall experience for everyone who walks through Southlake’s doors.
This hospital-wide transformation reflects Southlake’s commitment to delivering leading edge care, close to home, recognizing that every part of the patient experience — including food — plays an important role in comfort, wellbeing, and healing.
